The official tourist guide will be waiting for you to pick you up from your Hotel – located in the Miraflores area, you will enjoy a tour getting to know Lima in its three stages: Lima Pre -Hispanic, Colonial and Modern. The tour will start from the Miraflores district, along the way you will see from the bus the impressive “Huaca Pucllana”, an ancient Ceremonial and archaeological Center built in the 4th century AD and considered a Sacred Town of the Incas. Then the tour guide will take you to the Historic Center of Lima. Where you will appreciate what the old Colonial Lima was, in addition to different monuments and colonial buildings within which the Paseo de la República (Roosevelt House) stands out, which welcomes all tourists to the Historical Center, Plaza San Martin, La Plaza Mayor, among others, then you can descend around the Plaza Mayor where you can see its majestic most representative buildings such as the Government Palace, the Municipal Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, then visit and enter the Convent of San Francisco, which constitutes the largest example of colonial religious art in America. Where its main attraction is the visit to its underground crypts known as The Catacombs.
Continuing the tour, we will visit the Central Reserve Bank Museum where the Collection of Treasures of Peru is located, within which you will find ceramic objects, Gold and Textiles from various pre-Columbian cultures.
Then, we will go to the Barranco district, We will start the visit by visiting the “Vagón del memoria” strong>Electric tram, which was built as the main transport to connect Lima with its Spas and which operated until 1965. We will continue along thePaseo Chabuca Granda, which has a republican architectural style where we find panels with photos old and phrases alluding to the district. We will go to the Bridge of Sighs, There is a tradition that states that whoever sees the bridge for the first time and crosses it without breathing will have their wish fulfilled. The bridge served as inspiration for a famous song by the composer Chabuca Granda, titled “Bridge of Sighs”, in 1960. We will arrive at the Ermita de Barranco. Its origin is attributed to the legend which gives rise to the name of Barranco and since that time it became a place of pilgrimage. We will visit the Plazuela de Chabuca Granda, there we will appreciate the sculpture of the famous national composer who loved Barranco: Chabuca Granda, which is accompanied by the chalan José Antonio Lavalle, inspiration for the song “José Antonio”. /p>
We will conclude our visit at the Catalina Recavarren Viewpoint From this place you have a magnificent view of the Bajada de los Baños, as well as the sea; highlights the romanticism of the sunset.
The Guide will take you to the Craft Center – Cora where you will live the experience of embroidering your own Andean fabric, you will be able to choose your Shipibo or Andean design, as well as the colors of your threads and learn different embroidery stitches, used by our artisans located in the Barranco District, fighting women who work through Cora, which is an ally of our Social Responsibility area.
At the end of the tour we will drop you off at your hotel.
