    Chullpas of Sillustani: History and Mystery in the Peruvian Altiplano

    Start of tour from Puno

    We start picking you up from your hotel in Puno, as long as it is close to the Plaza de Armas.

    Hours available: In the afternoon, starting at 2:00 p.m.

    Travel to Sillustani

    We will board our tourist transport to start the trip to the famous Chullpas of Sillustani. The trip lasts approximately 40 minutes.

    During the tour, you will be able to admire the Andean landscapes, cross small local communities and observe the vast beauty of the altiplano.

    Guided tour of the Chullpas

    Upon arrival at the archaeological site, we will take a guided tour of the Chullpas, impressive funerary towers built by the Colla culture.

    Your guide will explain the spiritual significance of this place, as well as very interesting historical and architectural details.

    From here you will also have a spectacular view of Lake Umayo and the surrounding natural environment.

    Afterwards, you will have free time to explore, take pictures and enjoy the scenery at your leisure.

    Cultural meeting with the local community

    Before returning, we will make a stop in a nearby community. Here you will learn more about Andean traditions, see handicrafts and discover what daily life is like in this rural region.

    Return to Puno

    Finally, we will return to the city. We will leave you near the Plaza de Armas of Puno to continue enjoying your stay.
