    Sacred Valley of the Incas Tour

    Pick-up and Departure

    Between 07:30 a.m. and 08:00 a.m. we will pick up participants from their hotels in Cusco or at an agreed meeting point. Then, we will depart to the Sacred Valley enjoying beautiful Andean landscapes along the way.

    Chinchero archaeological and textile

    First we will visit Chinchero, known as the ancient palace of Tupac Inca Yupanqui. Here we will admire the unique blend of Inca and Spanish architecture.

    Afterwards, we will enter a textile workshop where local women will show how they preserve ancestral weaving and hand-dyeing techniques in a practical and didactic way.

    Moray and salt mines of Maras

    We will continue to Moray, famous for its circular terraces used by the Incas to experiment with crops in different microclimates.

    Then, we will visit the salt mines of Maras, with more than 3,000 salt ponds that produce the pink salt so well known throughout Peru.

    Lunch in Urubamba

    We will enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba, the most famous province of the Sacred Valley, where you will have time to rest and taste typical dishes.

    Ollantaytambo and Pisaq

    In the afternoon we will visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, an imposing Inca construction that stands out for the Temple to the Sun in its high part.

    We will finish in Pisaq, with its semicircular terraces and the cemetery of hanging tombs. You will also visit a goldsmith workshop, where you will learn about precious metals and stones in a simple way.

    Return to Cusco

    Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving around 7:00 p.m. and leaving you near the Plaza de Armas.
