The Colca Valley is located in the city of Arequipa; in a trip of 03 hours approx. We arrive at the town of Chivay, which is the capital of the Caylloma province, where you will be able to find all the main services such as accommodation, restaurants, night entertainment centers and others.
You can visit Colca Valley all year round, however the best season to visit is between April and December since the rainy season is ending and these are the months that show the greatest greenery of the terraces of the Colca Valley and all its landscapes.
In the Colca Valley varies the weather seasonally, it is recommended to bring a warm jacket for the morning and the night because it increases the cold, during the day we can use light clothing; You should also take into account wearing shoes for short walks, a cap or hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. If you plan to visit between December to March, it is advisable to wear waterproof clothing since it is the rainy season.
On the way we will make a stop at the Viewpoint of the Volcanoes; this is at 4900 m.a.s.l, it is the highest point of the whole road. And the town of Chivay is located at an altitude of 3635 m.a.s.l.
It is advisable to bring cash as not all establishments have this service.

03:30 a.m. Departure from Arequipa to Chivay.
We will arrive to the town of Chivay to enjoy a delicious breakfast. After breakfast we will move to the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor, which is 30 minutes away, is the observation point of the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the Condor. At this point we will be an average of 45 minutes to observe the beauty of the Colca Canyon. We will take a short optional walk of approximately 30 minutes to appreciate a little more of the Colca Valley.
We will also visit different viewpoints in the area from where we will observe the impressive terraces of the valley and in the town of Maca, where we will see the church and optional taste drinks in the area as the Colca Sour, made from local products.
Before lunch we will enjoy a relaxing bath in the Yanque Hot Springs (optional entrance) whose thermo-medicinal waters range from 30ºC to 34ºC in temperature in the pools.
12:30 p.m. Lunch in Chivay.
We start our way back to Arequipa and during the trip we will stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, which is also the highest point of the road (4900 m.a.s.l) from where we will appreciate a great part of the western mountain range. Then we will make a short stop also in the Bofedales de Toccra Pampa where we will observe a large number of Alpacas grazing freely in the area.
Bordering the snowy Chachani towards Pampa Cañahuas we will pass through the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, home of vicuñas which live freely in this area.
18:00 p.m. We will arrive to the city of Arequipa and we will drop you off very close to the main square.
