Start of the Tour
06:00 a.m.: We start picking up participants from their accommodation in Ica. Therefore, it is recommended to be ready at least 10 minutes before.
Tourist transport is comfortable and especially suitable for desert travel.
06:30 a.m.: Departure to Los Perdidos Canyon. During the trip, you will be able to enjoy the typical landscape of the Ica desert.
In addition, the guide will share an interesting introduction about the canyon, its history and what you will see on the route.
Road to the Canyon
08:30 a.m.: Arrival at the starting point of the hike. At that time, a brief safety briefing will be given to ensure a safe experience.
There will also be an excellent opportunity to take panoramic photographs of the desert before starting the hike.
Los Perdidos Canyon Exploration
09:00 a.m.: Guided hike through the canyon begins.
Landscape formations: The guide will explain how these formations have been created over time by the action of water and wind.
Main places along the route:
- La Garganta: Main entrance with high walls surrounding you as you enter.
- The Amphitheater: Wide and circular area, ideal for taking pictures and observing the surroundings.
- Natural Pits: Pool-like formations created by erosion.
- The Caves: Small caves that show the biodiversity of the place.
Throughout the tour, the guide will also explain about the vegetation and animals that live in this dry environment.
12:00 p.m.: End of the hike. Afterwards, visitors will have free time to rest, take more pictures or simply enjoy the tranquility of the desert.
Return to Ica
12:30 p.m.: The return trip to Ica begins.
During the return trip, it is common for participants to share their experiences while observing the desert landscape again.
15:30 p.m.: Arrival in the city of Ica and transfer to the hotel or starting point.
