Hotel pick up
We will pick you up from your hotel or meeting point in Nazca to begin the visit to the Necropolis of Chauchilla.
During the tour, the guide will give a brief introduction to the Nazca culture and why this ancient cemetery is so important to the history and archaeology of the region.
Arrival at the Necropolis of Chauchilla
Upon arrival at the archaeological site, the guide will welcome you and share a brief explanation about the history of the site.
The tombs you will see are more than 1,500 years old and belong to one of the most enigmatic cultures of ancient Peru.
Tour of the Necropolis
You will take a guided walk through the areas where the original tombs are located.
During the tour, you will observe mummified remains, funerary artifacts and ancestral ceramics.
In addition, the guide will explain the funerary practices of the Nazcas, their vision of the world and the cultural relevance of this place.
There will be time to take pictures, enjoy the scenery and ask questions.
Visit to the Museum (optional)
If you wish to complement your experience, you can visit the small museum nearby, where original pieces such as ceramics, textiles and other elements of everyday Nazca life are exhibited.
Return to Hotel
At the end of the visit, you will return to the starting point or directly to your hotel in Nazca.
