Itinerary
We will start picking up passengers from their respective hotels located in downtown Arequipa at 7:30 a.m.
On this tour we will explore one of the deepest and most spectacular canyons in the world. We will arrive at the majestic Colca Valley just in time to enjoy a delicious lunch.
We will take the highway to Yura, entering the impressiveSalinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we will be able to observe one of the most emblematic protected animals of the region: the vicuñas. These elegant creatures, belonging to the South American camelid family, live in the wild and are a symbol of the local biodiversity.
The small and picturesquetown of Patahuasi is located on the route to the Colca Valley, being a perfect place to make a brief stop and enjoy its Andean charm. Its name, which in Quechua means “House on High”, reflects its strategic location surrounded by imposing mountain scenery.
Inca Mate: A traditional remedy
Patahuasi is known for being the ideal place to taste the traditionalMate Inca, an infusion made with local herbs such as coca leaf, muña and chachacoma. This drink is highly recommended to alleviate the symptoms of altitude sickness (soroche) and revitalize the body during the journey through the Andean highlands.

Afterwards, we will settle into our respective hotels and get ready to visit the famous hot springs.
