City Tour Cusco: Discover the History and Culture of the Imperial City

Explore Cusco’s historical treasures in an unforgettable morning.

Our team will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the meeting point. From there, we will start a tour that combines history, architecture and living culture of the city of Cusco.

Qorikancha – The Temple of the Sun

We will start by visiting the Qorikancha, considered one of the most sacred temples of the Inca Empire. Here you will appreciate a surprising mix of Inca and colonial architecture, reflecting the encounter of two worlds.

Sacsayhuamán – Majestic fortress

Then, we will head to Sacsayhuaman, a colossal fortress located in the heights of Cusco. This place stands out for its huge blocks of stone perfectly assembled, demonstrating the advanced knowledge of Inca engineering.

Qenqo – Ceremonial center

We will continue to Qenqo, an ancient ceremonial site where we will learn how Inca religious rituals were performed. Its subway passages and its central altar make it especially enigmatic.

Puca Pucara – Guard of the Sacred Valley

We will visit Puca Pucara, a small fortress that served as a checkpoint and resting place for travelers on their way to the Sacred Valley. Its architecture reveals its defensive and administrative function.

Tambomachay – Sacred spring

Finally, we will arrive at Tambomachay, also known as the “Bath of the Inca”. This site dedicated to water shows the respect that the Incas had for nature, with canals and fountains still in operation.

Discover Machu Picchu in one unforgettable day

We will pick you up between 03:50 a.m. and 04:00 a.m. from your hotel to begin a unique experience to the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. Below, we show you each step of this carefully organized trip.

Beginning of the adventure

04:00 a.m.: Pick up from hotel to Inca Rail station.
04:20 a.m.: Departure by bimodal service (bus + train).
06:10 a.m.: Arrival to the town of Ollantaytambo.

On the way to Aguas Calientes

06:40 a.m.: Departure of the tourist train to Aguas Calientes.
07:50 a.m.: Free time of 40 minutes for breakfast.

Exploring Machu Picchu

09:00 a.m.: We board the bus to the Inca citadel.
10:00 a.m.: Entrance to Machu Picchu and guided tour (duration: 2 hours and a half).

Return to Cusco

12:30 p.m.: Bus back to Aguas Calientes and free time for lunch.
14:00 p.m.: We head to the train station.
14:30 p.m.: Departure by train to Ollantaytambo.
16:10 p.m.: Arrival to Ollantaytambo.
16:40 p.m.: Return by bimodal service to the city of Cusco.

After exploring Cusco’s main attractions, you will have a moment to relax and enjoy the city at your own pace. You can rest at your hotel or, if you prefer, go for a walk through the historic center. It is a great opportunity to take pictures, try some local sweets or just let yourself be carried away by the charm of its streets.

In addition, you can take advantage of this time to do your souvenir shopping. Cusco is full of handicraft stores where you will find textiles, ceramics, jewelry and other traditional products. These items are not only beautiful, but also allow you to take a little piece of Peru with you.

Transfer to the airport or station

Once you have finished your activities, our team will pick you up to take you to the airport or bus station. We will make sure you arrive in plenty of time for your flight or bus, with no rush or worries.
