Hotel pick-up and transfer to the port.
We start the tour with pick up from your hotel in Puno at 7:00 am. Then, we head to the port to board a tourist boat that will take us on Lake Titicaca.
Floating Islands of the Uros
The first stop will be the famous Uros Islands, made entirely of totora reeds. Here you will learn about the history and way of life of its inhabitants. You will also have time to explore the islands and buy local handicrafts.
Navigation to Taquile Island
Then, we will begin the boat navigation toward Taquile Island. The journey takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.
During the journey, you will enjoy panoramic views of Lake Titicaca.
In addition, the Andean landscape provides an ideal setting for photography and contemplation.
Cultural tour and walking experience on Taquile Island
Upon arrival on the island, we will begin a walking tour through the local community. We will follow traditional paths surrounded by agricultural terraces.
Later, we will take a gradual walk toward the natural viewpoints.
From there, you will enjoy spectacular views of Lake Titicaca and the Andean highlands.
Finally, you will learn about the Taquileño culture, renowned for its strong community organization.
Its traditional textiles reflect identity, history, and a living cultural heritage.
Typical Lunch and Free Time
After the hike, you will enjoy a lunch prepared by local families with fresh local produce. Afterwards, you will have free time to relax, explore or chat with the locals.
Return to Puno
We end the tour with the return by boat to Puno. Arrival at the port is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., and we will leave you near the Plaza de Armas.
