    Sillustani Chullpas: Discover the Mystery of the Altiplano Funerary Towers

    Funerary Towers of the Altiplano

    13:50 p.m. We will begin our journey to the Chullpas of Sillustani, located approximately 45 minutes from the city of Puno. This fascinating archaeological site houses funerary towers built during the Inca and pre-Inca times. These structures served as tombs for the most important people of the region, who were buried along with their most valuable objects.

    In addition, this place allows us to better understand the ancient funerary practices and how they were related to the Andean cosmovision. Undoubtedly, it is an experience that connects the past with the present.

    Meeting with a local family

    16:50 p.m. We will start our way back to Puno. On the way, we will make a brief stop at the home of a local family, which will allow us to learn more about their customs and lifestyle.

    This family lives in a traditional dwelling made of stone, mud and straw, and still preserves many of the ancestral practices of the altiplano. We will also have the opportunity to get a close look at South American camelids, such as llamas and alpacas, animals that are fundamental in the daily life of this region.

    Return to Puno

    18:00 p.m. Finally, we will arrive back to the city of Puno. We will leave you near the Plaza de Armas, concluding this enriching tour full of history, culture and tradition.

    Uros and Amantani Islands: A Cultural Journey on Lake Titicaca

    Beginning of the Lake Titicaca adventure

    07:00 a.m. Transfer from your hotel or from the Plaza de Armas to the lake dock in Puno, where we will begin our exciting adventure on Lake Titicaca.

    Visit to the Uros Floating Islands

    07:35 a.m. We will depart by boat from the Puno dock to the Floating Islands of the Uros, a journey that lasts approximately 25 minutes. These islands are inhabited by the Uros people, who live in houses built on totora reed platforms, with a thickness of 30 to 40 cm.

    Each island is home to 5 to 6 families, who still preserve their ancestral customs. It will be a unique opportunity to learn about their way of life and admire their ingenious adaptation to the environment.

    Heading to Amantani Island

    10:30 a.m. We will continue our boat trip to Amantani Island. During the trip, we will enjoy the impressive views of Lake Titicaca, also known as the “Sacred Lake of the Incas”.

    This island stands out for its strong cultural identity, visible in the beliefs, clothing, rituals and traditions of its inhabitants.

    Exploring Amantani

    12:00 p.m. Arriving in Amantani, we will be able to observe the locals wearing their typical costumes. We will visit their rural houses, the main square and learn more about their textiles and daily traditions.

    Thanks to its experiential tourism and natural landscapes, Amantani has been recognized as a National Cultural Heritage Site.

    Return to Puno

    15:00 p.m. We will start our return to the lake port of Puno.
