To make a reservation we need the complete information of the passengers, ID or passport number and we confirm it with the payment online or through our bank accounts.
Children under 5 years old do not pay, as long as they ride on the lap of an adult; if you want the child to have his/her own seat, he/she pays the normal rate.
The entrance fee to the quarries is 5 soles. In the interior the quarrymen have organized themselves showing their work in spectacular carvings and also rock climbing and they charge between 3 and 5 soles.
In the main quarry which is Añashuayco (where we will arrive 1 hour after the tour starts) you will find toilets for ladies and gentlemen. Only in this place you will find toilets, because in Culebrillas, which is the second part of the tour, there are no toilets.
Yes, because it is an open and arid place. We recommend that you bring a hat, water, sunscreen and sunglasses. In rainy seasons (January, February and part of March) the heat is greatly reduced.

PICK UP FROM AIRPORT / HOTEL
Schedules: 09:00 a.m./14:00 p.m.
We will pick you up from your hotel in the center of Arequipa to start our tour.
We will visit the District of Yanahuara where we can observe the infrastructure of the portals and church and we will know a little of the history of this district and we can take pictures in the famous Portals of Yanahuara with the background of the Misti volcano.
Then we will go to the Mirador de Carmen Alto where you can appreciate the terraces of the district and also the three volcanoes that we have in Arequipa; Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu.
Then we will go to the Incalpaca Minizoologico, the entrance is free and we will be able to appreciate the four South American camelids (Llama, Alpaca, Vicuña and Guanaco).
Our next stop is the Mansion of the Founder; it is a colonial mansion, now converted into a museum, which contains important relics of the history of the city of Arequipa. Admission is optional but recommended given the historical richness it houses.
We will also visit the Sabandia Mill, which houses a working water mill and a mini-zoological museum. If you wish to stay outside you can find optional activities such as:
In this place you can enjoy typical Arequipa food.
Then we will visit the Menelic Museum where we will meet the most famous bull of Arequipa for the great amount of medals he won; then we will return to the center of the city of Arequipa and we will leave you very close to the main square.
01 NIGHT IN AREQUIPA
We will start picking you up from your corresponding hotels in downtown Arequipa at 07:30 a.m.
We will take the road to Yura and enter the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, where we can appreciate one of the animals protected by this reserve, the vicuna, which belong to the family of South American camelids.
We will make a stop in the village of Patahuasi where we recommend drinking the traditional Inca Mate, a traditional drink essential for altitude sickness (soroche) as it contains 3 natural herbs: Coca Leaf, Muña and Chachacoma.
We will make a brief stop at the Bofedales de Toccra where we will observe large numbers of Alpacas feeding freely in the area.
Another mandatory stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point of the road that reaches 4900 m.a.s.l. from where we will appreciate the volcanic chain belonging to the western mountain range, after this place we will begin to descend for about 40 min. approx. to reach the town of Chivay.
13:00pm - We will arrive to Chivay to enjoy a delicious traditional buffet lunch.
Then we will settle in our corresponding hotels and visit the thermal baths, very good for the skin and bones. These baths are highly recommended thermo-medicinal.
For dinner we will enjoy a folkloric show with typical dances of the area.
01 NIGHT IN CHIVAY
We will have breakfast in our corresponding hotels, then we will move to the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor, which is 35 minutes away, at this point we can observe the depth of the canyon and the spectacular flight of the Condor, in this place we will be an average of 45 minutes.
On the way back we will have different stops in the viewpoints of the area from where we will observe the impressive pre-Inca terraces of the valley. We will also visit the colonial towns of Yanque and the town of Maca, where we will observe its colonial churches and the typical dances of the area. We will be able to taste local drinks such as the Colca Sour, made with local products.
12:30pm - We will have lunch in Chivay and return to the city of Arequipa.
17:30pm - We will arrive in the city of Arequipa and drop you off near the main square.
01 NIGHT IN AREQUIPA
08:30 a.m. - During this time we will pick you up from the hotels located in the center of Arequipa.
09:00 a.m. - We start our tour to the Sillar Route which is a tourist route with a lot of history and living culture, where we visit quarries and areas where the sillar originated.
The first point where we will stop will be the Añashuayco Quarry; which we will arrive in 45 minutes approx. It is currently in exploitation, the quarrymen perform their work from very early; in the place we can appreciate a huge canyon with cliffs (ignimbrite walls) that are several meters high, formed by the extraction for the formation of the ashlars. At this point we will tell you the history of the ashlar, the elaboration and the use that has always been given to it. In this quarry you will be able to appreciate a Megatallado of the Church of the Company of Jesus made by the stonemasons themselves.
Then we will move to the Quebrada de Culebrillas, which is 30 minutes away from Añashuayco. Arriving at this point we will make a walk of approximately 20 minutes inside the small canyon that was formed by the passage of water, which has walls of 15 to 20 meters, while we go into the same the walls of the canyon are increasing in height. At the end of the walk we will be able to observe petroglyphs made by the Wari culture more than a thousand years ago.
When we return to the city we will observe the Apachetas which are stone formations placed one on top of the other that are a symbol of gratitude towards nature.
11:30am - We will start the return trip to the city of Arequipa.
13:00pm - We will arrive to the center of Arequipa and we will leave you near the main square.
