Colca Valley and Canyon and the City of Arequipa obtain the international Safe Travels seal

Let’s celebrate with Arequipa! The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) granted the Safe Travels international seal to two tourist destinations in the Arequipa region: Destination Valle y Cañón del Colca and Destination Arequipa Ciudad, which guarantees that they comply with biosafety protocols and are insurance against COVID-19. 

TEAMWORK

It should be noted that the delivery of the stamp occurs within the framework of a joint effort between the Mincetur and the regional and local authorities and the private sector. In this way, information was collected, as well as verification of compliance with the protocols. Additionally, technical support was provided for the preparation and implementation of surveillance plans and biosafety measures for tourist attractions, audits and monitoring actions to tourism service providers with the competent entities.
