Itinerary
Start of the tour
We will begin our tour by picking up passengers from the main square in the historic center of Arequipa, guaranteeing comfort and punctuality to begin this unforgettable experience.
Yanahuara: history and unforgettable views
We will visit the charming district of Yanahuara, famous for its colonial architecture. We will explore its traditional portals and historic church, while learning about the history of the place. In addition, we will enjoy a spectacular view of the Misti volcano, perfect for taking unforgettable photos from the famous portals.
Carmen Alto viewpoint
We will continue to the Carmen Alto viewpoint, from where we will appreciate the impressive terraces and a panoramic view of the three volcanoes that surround the city: Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu.
Incalpaca Minizootic
Our next stop will be the Incalpaca Mini zoo, with free admission. Here we will meet the four South American camelids: llama, alpaca, vicuña and guanaco.
Casona Villa: living history
Then, we will visit the historic Casona Villa, a colonial mansion converted into a museum that holds valuable pieces of Arequipa’s past. The entrance is optional, but highly recommended for those who wish to learn more about the city.
Sabandía Mill and optional activities
We continue to the picturesque Molino de Sabandía, where a water mill still operates and there is a mini zoo. You will also be able to participate in optional activities such as:

Here you will also have the opportunity to taste typical dishes of Arequipa.
Menelic Museum
Finally, we will visit the Menelic Museum, home of Arequipa’s most famous bull, awarded with numerous medals. At the end of the tour, we will return to the city center and leave you near the Plaza de Armas to continue enjoying Arequipa on your own.
01 Night in Arequipa
Tour start and departure from Arequipa
We will start the tour at 07:30 a.m. with pick up from your hotels in downtown Arequipa. We will take the road to Yura to enter the National Reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca, a protected area where we can observe vicuñas, one of the most representative camelids of Peru.
Stop in Patahuasi
In the picturesque village of Patahuasi, we will take a short break. Here we recommend tasting the traditional Inca Mate, prepared with coca, muña and chachacoma, ideal to prevent altitude sickness.
Toccra wetlands
Then, we will stop at the Bofedales de Toccra, a beautiful natural landscape where we will see alpacas grazing freely in their habitat.
Viewpoint of the Volcanoes
Our next stop will be the Mirador de los Volcanes, at 4,900 meters above sea level, the highest point of the tour. From here you can admire the volcanic chain of the western mountain range with spectacular views.
Arrival in Chivay and lunch
Around 13:00 p.m. we will arrive at the town of Chivay, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch with typical dishes of the region.
Installation in the hotel and thermal baths
After lunch, we will settle in at the hotel and rest for a while. In the afternoon, we will visit the thermal baths, famous for their natural waters with healing properties for skin and bones.
Folkloric dinner show
In the evening, we will enjoy a dinner accompanied by a folkloric show with typical Colca dances, which will allow us to learn more about the local culture and traditions.
01 Night in the Colca
We will spend the night in the heart of the Colca Valley, surrounded by nature, culture and tranquility.

Breakfast and departure to the Cruz del Condor viewpoint.
After breakfast at our hotels, we will depart for the famous Mirador de la Cruz del Condor, one of the most visited places in the Colca Canyon. This viewpoint offers an impressive view of the deep canyon and is ideal to observe the majesty of the Andean nature.
Observation of the Andean Condor
During the early morning hours, we will have the opportunity to observe the flight of the imposing Andean Condor. With a wingspan of up to 3 meters, these birds soar through the sky taking advantage of the thermal currents. It is a unique and unforgettable spectacle.
Panoramic views of the Colca Canyon
From the viewpoint you can also appreciate the enormous canyon walls, the nearby mountains and the small Andean villages. The combination of the landscape and the presence of the condors creates a striking visual experience.
Visit to the villages of Yanque and Maca
On our return, we will visit the traditional villages of Yanque and Maca, known for their history, colonial architecture and living culture.
Yanque
In Yanque we will visit its charming square and colonial church San Juan Bautista, surrounded by agricultural landscapes and Andean traditions. It is also close to the thermal baths of Chacapi.
Maca
Maca stands out for its colonial church with unique frescoes and for its local customs. During the festivities, it is common to see typical dances and to share with the villagers, who still preserve their traditions.
Andean cultural experience
Both towns allow us to live an authentic experience of rural Andean life, combining history, architecture and ancestral customs. An ideal tour for those who wish to connect with the culture of the Colca Valley.
Lunch and return to Arequipa
At 12:30 p.m., we will have lunch in Chivay and then we will start our return trip to the city of Arequipa.

At approximately 5:30 p.m., we will arrive in Arequipa and drop you off near the Plaza de Armas so you can continue exploring the city.

08:30 a.m. – Passenger pick up
We will start the tour by picking up passengers from their hotels located in the historic center of Arequipa, guaranteeing a punctual and comfortable departure for everyone.
09:00 a.m. – Beginning of the tour: Quarry of Añashuayco
We start our adventure to the Sillar Route, a journey full of history, culture and unique landscapes. Our first stop will be at the Añashuayco Quarry, located approximately 45 minutes from the city.
Currently in operation, this quarry will allow us to closely observe the work of the stonemasons, who from very early on extract the sillar stone, an emblematic material that has given shape to a large part of Arequipa’s architecture.
In this place you can appreciate an impressive canyon surrounded by ignimbrite cliffs of great height. In addition, we will be able to admire a mega carving of the Church of the Company of Jesus, sculpted by the stonemasons themselves as a tribute to the architectural heritage of the city.
10:15 a.m. – Hike in the Quebrada de Culebrillas Gorge
Next, we will head towards the Quebrada de Culebrillas, located about 30 minutes from the quarry. There we will hike for approximately 20 minutes in a natural canyon formed by the erosion of water over the centuries.
Its high walls, which reach between 15 and 20 meters high, will envelop us in a unique natural scenery. At the end of the tour, we will find petroglyphs more than a thousand years old, carved by the Wari culture. An impressive testimony of the pre-Inca history of the region.
Apachetas – Offerings to Pachamama
During the journey, we will also see the traditional Apachetas: stone towers placed one on top of the other by Andean travelers as a sign of gratitude to the Pachamama (Mother Earth). These structures are an essential part of Andean spirituality and customs.
11:30 a.m. – Retorno a Arequipa
After the hike, we will return to the city of Arequipa.
1:30 p.m. – End of the tour
We will arrive at the historic center and drop off passengers near the Plaza de Armas, ideal to continue exploring the city on your own.
