05:30 – 06:00 AM | Pick up and departure from Ica
Pick up from hotels or designated meeting points. Then, we will start the trip to Nasca, enjoying a panoramic drive along the Panamericana Sur.
08:30 AM | Stop at the Inca Profile
First stop at the Perfil del Inca, located at km 391 of the Panamerican Highway South, in the district of Rio Grande. From a specific angle, this rock formation looks like the profile of a human face, which makes it a very curious spot to take pictures.
09:30 AM : Visit to Maria Reiche’s House-Museum
We will visit the Maria Reiche House Museum, dedicated to the life and work of Dr. Maria Reiche Newman. There you will learn about her tools, theories and fundamental contributions to the study of the Nasca Lines.
11:00 AM : Nasca Lines Viewpoint
Climb the 18-meter-high metallic tower to observe three famous figures: The Hand, The Tree and The Lizard. In addition, the guide will give a brief explanation of their characteristics and possible meanings.
12:30 PM | Lunch in Nasca (not included)
Free time for lunch at a recommended local restaurant and enjoy the typical gastronomy of the region.
14:00 PM : Paredones Ruins
Explore the archaeological site of Paredones, an ancient construction from the Inca period. During the visit, the guide will explain how this place was key for administration and ceremonies, connecting cultures such as the Nasca and the Inca.
15:00 PM : Cantalloc Aqueducts
Meet the impressive Cantalloc Aqueducts, a pre-Hispanic engineering work designed to supply water to both the population and crops. Still in operation, these subway channels and spiral wells are testimony to the ingenuity of the Nasca culture.
16:30 PM | Return to Ica
We start our return trip to Ica, while we continue to enjoy the desert landscape of the region.
18:30 PM | Arrival in Ica
We end the tour with the arrival at the Plaza de Armas of Ica or at the designated meeting point. Undoubtedly, an enriching experience to remember.
