Reception and Registration (30 minutes)
Hours available: 09:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m.
Upon arrival at the Nazca airfield, you will be welcomed by the agency staff. Then, you will go to the registration and weighing area, where you will be assigned seats in the aircraft. This distribution is made taking into account the weight of the passengers, in order to maintain balance during the flight.
In addition, there will be a brief introductory talk about the enigmatic Nazca Lines. Here you will learn how they were discovered and some of the main theories about their origin.
Briefing and Flight Preparation (15 minutes)
During this stage you will receive:
- A detailed explanation of the most well-known figures, such as the Hummingbird, the Monkey, the Spider and the Astronaut.
- Safety instructions: use of seat belts, how to prevent motion sickness and the best way to observe the lines from the air.
- Practical tips for taking good photos during the overflight, either with a camera or cell phone.
Start of Overflight (30-35 minutes)
After the preparation, you will board a light aircraft with capacity for a maximum of 6 people.
During the flight, the pilot will make smooth turns so that everyone can see the figures from different angles. These are the main figures you will see:
- The Hummingbird
- The Monkey
- The Spider
- The Astronaut
- The Condor
- The Dog
- The Tree
While you fly over, the pilot will give you additional information and answer your questions. This way, you will enjoy a more complete experience.
Return and Disembarkation (10 minutes)
Once the flight is over:
- You will land again at the Nazca airfield.
- You will get off the plane and, if you wish, you will receive a flight certificate as a souvenir.
- You will have free time to take pictures or solve additional doubts about the Nazca Lines.
Finally, you will return to the starting point or be transferred to your hotel, depending on the option chosen.
This itinerary can be adapted according to weather conditions or the needs of the group.
Important Information
Maximum Allowable Weight
Generally, each passenger should weigh less than 100 to 110 kg (220 to 240 lbs), although this may change depending on the airline or aircraft.
If you exceed this limit, it is recommended that you contact the agency in advance to look for alternatives.
Weight Distribution and Weighing
The total weight must be balanced to ensure safe flight. Therefore:
- Upon arrival, you will be weighed and assigned to a suitable seat.
- It is essential to be honest with your weight when registering to avoid delays.
Above Average Weight Passengers
In these cases, you may:
- You are assigned an additional seat, or
- You are offered to fly in another group.
Some airlines may charge a supplement for this, but they always seek to maintain your comfort and safety.
