Itinerary
Tour start: Departure from Arequipa
We will start with the pick up from the hotels located near the Plaza de Armas in Arequipa. Our team will pick you up at the indicated time to begin this unforgettable adventure to the Colca Valley.
🕒 03:00 a.m. – Departure to Chivay
We will depart early in the morning for Chivay, a picturesque village located in the heart of the valley. During the trip you will be able to rest and enjoy the high Andean landscape as the sun rises over the volcanoes.
Breakfast in Chivay and on the way to Cruz del Condor Viewpoint
Upon arrival in the town of Chivay, we will enjoy a typical Andean breakfast that will give us energy to continue our tour. Then, we will head towards one of the most iconic places in the Colca Valley: the Mirador de la Cruz del Condor.
🐦 Cruz del Cóndor Viewpoint: A natural spectacle
This viewpoint is one of the most visited points of the Colca Canyon. From here, you can observe the imposing canyon walls, which reach depths of more than 4,000 meters, making it one of the deepest canyons in the world.
🦅 Observation of the majestic Andean Condor.
The highlight of this stop is the possibility of seeing the Andean Condor in full flight. In the early morning hours, these imposing birds soar through the skies taking advantage of the thermal currents. With a wingspan of up to 3 meters, the flight of the condor is a unique and unforgettable spectacle.

Located in the district of Yanque, in the enchanting Colca Valley, the Chacapi Hot Springs are the ideal destination for those looking to relax and reconnect with Andean nature. These hot springs, surrounded by mountains and the Colca River, combine wellness, beauty and local culture.

The waters of Chacapi have temperatures between 38°C and 45°C, and are rich in minerals such as iron, calcium and magnesium. These properties help relieve muscle pain, improve circulation and revitalize the skin, providing a unique sensation of relief and renewal.

Return to Arequipa with unforgettable scenery
We begin our return trip to Arequipa, passing through impressive natural scenery and stopping at key points in the Andean highlands.
🗻 Mirador de los Volcanes (4,900 m.a.s.l.)
Our first stop will be at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point of the tour. From here, you will be able to contemplate the majestic volcanic chain of southern Peru, including the Ampato, Sabancaya, Hualca Hualca, Misti and Chachani volcanoes.
🐑 Toccra Pampa wetlands
We will continue to the Bofedales de Toccra Pampa, where we will be able to observe a large number of alpacas grazing freely between wetlands and mountains. This ecosystem is vital for high Andean wildlife and offers an excellent opportunity for wildlife photography.
🌄 Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve
As we skirt the snow-capped Chachani and descend towards Pampa Cañahuas, we will cross the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, home to the elegant vicuñas, which graze freely in this protected ecosystem.
🏙️ Arrival in Arequipa
Around 18:00 p.m. we will arrive in the city of Arequipa. We end the tour leaving you near the Plaza de Armas, so you can continue exploring the city or rest after an unforgettable day.

The Colca Valley is located from the city of Arequipa; in a trip of 03 hours approx. you will arrive to the town of Chivay which is the capital of the province of Caylloma, where you will be able to find all the main services such as lodging, restaurants, night entertainment centers and others.
It is advisable to carry cash since not all establishments offer this service.
Children under 5 years of age do not pay, as long as they ride on the lap of an adult; if they wish to have their own seat, they pay the normal fare.
In the Colca Valley the weather varies seasonally, it is recommended to bring a warm jacket for the morning and evening as the cold increases; and in the day we can use light clothing; you should also wear sneakers for short hikes, hat or cap, sunscreen and sunglasses. If you plan to visit between December and March it is advisable to bring waterproof clothing since it is the rainy season.
